Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Thyself ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Thyself mobile application (the "App").
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account information: email address, name (optional). Health information you choose to log: symptoms, energy, mood, brain fog, anxiety, sleep, stress, medication and supplement names, doses and timing, diet and meal entries, typed symptom and food descriptions, lab values, ultrasound log entries, and (if you turn it on) cycle tracking. App activity: streaks, and which onboarding screens and upgrade screens you view.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to: Provide core App functionality, including daily tracking, streaks, and badges. Generate personalized pattern insights and appointment preparation materials. Improve and maintain the App. Communicate with you about your account or the App. Dose and check-in reminders are scheduled on your device and can be turned off in your iPhone's notification settings.
3. AI FEATURES
Thyself offers optional AI features powered by Anthropic PBC (Claude). The app asks for your consent before it sends anything. You can turn this on or off at any time in Settings > AI features. If you decline, the rest of the app works: insights are produced on your device and you choose symptoms and food tags yourself. What is sent, only after consent: AI insights: your check-ins from the last 30 days (energy, mood, brain fog, anxiety, symptoms, sleep, stress), medication logs and diet and food entries from the last 30 days, your active medications with doses and times, your latest lab result, your thyroid condition and the profile answers you gave in onboarding. Typed symptom description: only the text you type. Typed food description: only the text you type. Never sent: your name, your email, cycle tracking data, or ultrasound log entries. You review and confirm the symptoms and food tags before they are saved. AI insights are saved to your account automatically. Our servers verify your sign-in on every AI request and limit how many requests each account can make per day. We do not write your typed text or the AI's replies to our logs. Anthropic's commercial terms say it does not train its models on this content. Anthropic says it deletes inputs and outputs from its systems within 30 days, except content it flags as violating its usage policy or must keep by law.
4. ULTRASOUND LOG AND CYCLE TRACKING
Ultrasound log: scan dates, gland volume, nodule sizes, a category you pick from a list, and notes. Stored in your account, never shared, never sent to AI. Thyself does not calculate or interpret it. Cycle tracking: optional and off by default. Stores period dates and flow. Not used by any AI feature or the prep brief, never shared. You can turn it off or delete all cycle data in Settings.
5. HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, our backend infrastructure provider, with industry-standard encryption and access controls. We do not sell your personal health information to third parties. We also store the AI insights and appointment prep briefs we generate for you, and counters that track daily AI use.
6. SUBSCRIPTION AND PAYMENT DATA
Subscription purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store and managed via RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We do not directly collect or store your payment card information. We share your account ID with RevenueCat so your subscription can be matched to your account.
7. RIGHTS AND RETENTION
You can delete your account in Settings. We then delete your data from our servers. Anthropic may keep AI inputs and outputs for up to 30 days under its terms. Our hosting provider may keep backups for a limited time. RevenueCat keeps its own subscription records under its privacy policy. Signing out or deleting your account also clears the app data stored on your device.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Thyself is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the App.
